Requirements
Volunteering with Rachels Home for Orphans requires individuals to meet certain requirements to ensure the safety and well-being of the children and the effectiveness of the program. Here are some of the key requirements:
1. Background check: All volunteers must undergo a thorough background check to ensure they have no history of criminal activity or any behavior that could pose a risk to the children.
2. Age requirement: Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
3. Commitment: Volunteers should be willing to commit to a certain amount of time per week or month.
4. Training: Volunteers may be required to undergo training on topics such as child safety, first aid, and interacting with children who have experienced trauma.
5. Submit an application Letter, attached a government issued valid identity card and a passport photograph.
6. Respect for cultural differences: Volunteers should demonstrate an understanding and respect for the cultural backgrounds and traditions of the children at the orphanage.
7. Compassion and empathy: Volunteers should possess qualities such as patience, kindness, and empathy to effectively support and care for the children who may have experienced trauma or loss.
Process
1. Contact Rachels Home for Orphans to express interest in volunteering.
2. Complete and submit an application form detailing skills and availability.
3. Undergo an interview to assess compatibility and discuss volunteer opportunities.
4. Consent to a background check for the safety of the children.
5. Participate in orientation and training sessions (Optional).
6. Receive assignment to a specific volunteer role based on skills and organization’s needs.
7. Commence volunteering duties, contributing to the well-being of the children.
8. Maintain communication with the organization and adhere to established policies and procedures.
